Crockpot Quail Fail My ChatGPT Recipe Not As Good As It Looked
Просмотров 11814 часов назад
I cooked quail in a crock pot for the first time using a recipe I conjured up with assistance from ChatGPT. When I was done the quail and rice looked delicious it smelled good but the crockpot cooked a lot of the flavor out of the birds and it ended up being a little dry. However, the juice in the crock pot had a lot of flavor, and when I added it to the rice later the quail tasted much better....

Also, I haven't seen any other negative comments on the magazine, just wonder if you might have gotten a defective one or something. Thanks for the review though, very detailed. @@RobbsHomemadeLife Haha, I forget you've been on here a looong time, Robb! I didn't even start watching it until 2019 - I worked as a meter reader & I saw a guy working on the front suspension of an old Landcruiser & he had a laptop open & I asked why! He said he was watching a how to tutorial - I had to sit down! Got home & found hundreds of videos on car repairs! Mind blown! I've never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed ( I'm not even in the shed - I'm that rusty screwdriver with the broken handle discarded in the weeds behind the shed..) but I was pretty shocked to be that far out of the loop! Hey Mr. McCoy it's kinda funny I'm actually a technological dinosaur in most areas but years ago I belonged to a forum that I actually pay $10 a month it was that good and I am a tightwad so you know it must have been something but there was a guy named bill Myers that had a forum about making money online and he recommended everybody on the forum get on to RUclips when it came out even though it didn't pay a penny I started off with a digital pocket camera I got from the hardware store for $29.00 I used to mess with camcorders that use tapes all the way back in the 80s but RUclips was my first digital experience with video and it has been a blast ever since. I think everybody has something to share some knowledge they can help other people out with to me that's the best thing about RUclips we can make videos about how to fix a car and somebody can be with their laptop not having to pay a mechanic there are a lot of things that aren't as good as it used to be but I love how people are willing to share knowledge now because when I was growing up nobody would tell you anything you had to learn it the hard way I'm glad you are enjoying my silly old videos if you make any you would like to share don't hesitate to leave the links

Edit: wrote the stuff below and then peeked at your channel. You are just too busy to find the time to read right now! LOL Try reading a chapter at a different time (after breakfast instead of before bedtime), have good lighting, and see if reading glasses make it easier. Maybe your brain needs to work back into reading gradually to get used to concentrating? I slowed down on my fiction reading (I like historical novels) because my eyesight changed and it took me a while to realize I was at that age where I needed reading glasses. Now that I have a bunch of those, I go in spurts of finding new novels and use our public library. My daughter lives in a city and knows my taste exactly, plus even remembers my favorite authors! I could also order online but forget to check up on new books by my favorite authors. During my hospital stay in the winter, she dropped off 2 big books for me plus some reading glasses she bought because I was hauled off to a hospital far away from home without anything to do and no cell or PC. I was so doped up with morphine I couldn't even concentrate on the titles or authors of books she bought for me, so left them in the bag. Once I got to the end of my 'hospital incarceration' I realized I was off the drugs and brain could function again... Well... I am a slow reader because I love savoring every word of a good novel. Many nights I was up to 2 am reading away. Hospital nurses just smiled because they knew I had been staring at the curtains/walls for the first 2 months of being there and they realized I was on the mend. Sorry to write a novella here... hope I didn't put you to sleep.

@@islandgal500 Historically accurate novels! Yes! Have you read “I Claudius” and “Claudius the God” by Robert Graves? It’s a really good view of what it was like in ancient Rome from Julius Caesar through Nero. Emperor Claudius kept great records and a history of the ruler’s family secrets. Graves wove it into a readable novel. Great stuff. One of the Claudius aqueducts are still functioning. My vision is making it hard to read. I hate reading on computers or tablets. I may try a kindle but I much prefer books. You don’t need to feed them batteries or plug them in. The Kindle may work though. I need coke bottle readers now. I wore out my peepers reading 19th century english and russian literature. I found a translation of “War and Peace” by Constance Garnett that was actually readable. I read straight through over a couple days. After a grueling 400 pages of introducing a host of characters with impossible Russian names that had to by practiced until the narration could flow, for me, the book became one of the best experiences in my life. I couldn’t put it down. Looking back, it feels like I was there. Constance and her associate actually new Tolstoy and corresponded with him. Her translation flowed like music as other translators of russian made the sentences cumbersome and unpleasant to read or understand. If you ever want to tackle it, the Constance Garnett translation is the readable one.

Came home couple nights ago to find our 2008 Honda Odyssey brake lights on. It is parked outside and hasn't been used in over a month. I am like what the heck? Did a quick search and found this video. Went out this morning when it is a little cooler. Found pieces of the bumper on the mat under the brake pedal. Confirmation. Ashamed to admit I could not find duck tape or electrical tap to tape pennies in place of the bumper. While searching for tape, I found those felt stickers you put under chair legs so they slide easier. Peeled one off and reached up there and put it on. Problem solved. I guess I will buy the replacement bumper for $10 but I think the felt sticker would work for a long-term solution. Thanks for a very useful video.

I've been pretty much exclusive to King Oscar with skin + bones in either olive or soybean oil for the last few years. Thought it might be fun to branch out after sardine videos started weirdly popping up in my YT feed and picked up two new brands: the Wild Planet you have above, and Mantiz in Spanish olive oil. The Wild Planet was bad, visually unappealing, smells nasty and not pleasant at all. I tossed it after a couple bites and I'm pretty sure if my cats were still around they would have given it the snub. The Mantiz however was great, but also pricey at $4.99.

The most adventurous I was as a young wife learning to cook was making Cornish Game Hens. I must have done it right because we had it often.... or we were just really hungry. Your quail actually looks tender and OK, but I would have thickened that jus and seasoned the heck out of that to give more flavor.

You can’t trust that digital lunatic . Looked great though. Oven or pan in butter, soy sauce ,garlic ,onion black pepper and cayenne .(maybe a touch of turmeric) Or, brown in pan and finish by simmering in tomato sauce. Butter ,season, wrap in foil and place on dashboard of 56 Chevy facing the sun in Texas. The original solar oven. My mother and her siblings were orphaned and raised by my great grandparents . My great grandmother made a graduation dinner for my uncle and a group of his college classmates. When everyone was done, satisfied and complimenting her on it, they asked what the small fowl was. They guessed “rock cornish hens? Squab? She smiled and shook her head with a big smile. To the group’s utter horror, she said,in her broken english ” Robins.” “Eetsa robins”. Song birds were hunted where she grew up. She was very proficient with a sling shot and had put meat on the table with one her whole life. She was livid when she was told it was illegal to hunt robins in the USA. It’s reported that she got so mad that she yelled “ Godda Damn Christopher Columbus!” Then scolded my great grandfather for bringing her here. 😂 You could probably make a great cacciatore with quail if you can with robins.

@@RobbsHomemadeLife He and great grandma would have gotten along famously.I remember her eldest ,my uncle Owen, who was captured during the Battle of the Bulge and nearly starved to death by the nazis, stopping the car once and climbing a tree to cut a good slingshot branch for his mom. He must have been in his forties or fifties by then. I was just a little kid. Shortly after, I got in trouble for pilfering pieces of my Uncle Bud’s stash of old red rubber inner tubes for slingshot bands. It was an out of production item that was prized for patching the modern tire inner tubes. Really stretchy.
